“The Jackson 5 – ABC” is a happy alphabet song which compares with learning to love to learn the alphabet. It correlates with the idea that anything educational or not which holds significance can be discovered with equal love and enthusiasm. In the era of 1970, this became the first most listened song on the singles chart and came on the top after The Beatles. This group of five African American children including Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, Jackie, and of cour Michael Jackson became significantly popular after this pop song. In an era where racism, discrimination, and violence were at its peak, the African American movement was being established and becoming significant (Glévarec, Hervé, and Philippe Cibois, pp. 475). Songs like these helped create a mark along with creating awareness amongst the social and complexed topics of African American societies.

Thesis

The discussion of this essay would analyze and situate the social world in which the song was created, and make a convincing argument on the connection the song holds.

Discussion

Identification

The rise in pop culture and music helped recognize much talent. The corporation, entity label that produced this song shared the spirit and melody tone. The song ABC brightens up the tone of fuzz guitar and piano through singing smile and sunshine. Even though Michael Jackson is a kid who sings the song so remarkably and beautifully, he still has a long way to go in recognizing the fundamental issues of his time. The social context in which the song was produced acknowledges the importance of African Americans as they were being given a chance in the spotlight. Moreover, the lyrics of the song talk about education and how easy it can be when doing it with love. The connection of alphabets with love is the main message that is being conveyed in the song. Michael Jackson has such a beautiful tone in this song even as a kid, and he still has to enter his teens and have a voice with more authority and maturity.

There are so many instruments at play during this song as the melody kicks in with a pop perfection on top. The song ABC is a learning concept first introduced by Freddie Perren, a former teacher. He talked about the importance of learning and listening while attaining enough perfection. The sounds and the social connection the song signifies is the reason why music matters. A mixture of pop and soul music being heard in the social worlds where most of the things are not in place. The connection each song type has with other is uniquely braving. What might be evident at that time is the fact that black African American people were not given a comfortable living and had to, therefore, make a mark in pop culture to get recognized. The social world in which the song is produced is yet the most crucial aspect.

The argument to why this music mattered at the time and it still matters is because of its cultural representation and the sociological analysis it holds. It motivates children of all age to become creative, learn by studying alphabets, and grow very bright. The song develops a love affair with the band, and Michael Jackson in particular through the modernize sound each one holds. In the 60s when this song was produced, the label became a star and the performance which came after several years. The burst on stage with the dance moves became the new break in concept that got introduced by Michael. The kindergarten soul which was identified by the Jackson 5 band became the corporations most joyous romp. The chorus and the lyrics are instrumental and educating as they talk about the importance of alphabets, and how beautifully it links with love.

The social world in which the song is introduced is more vital and exuberant as Michael kicks off the stage with a vocal blend of brothers Tito and Jermaine along with the chorus band from Marlon and Jackie (Brackett, pp. 42). It all makes such an unmistakable sound as the album became the most widely known collection. The sentiments involved in the song with the sufficiency of feeling good is what is primarily pitched by the Jackson 5 band. This beautiful bubblegum soul song illustrates the social context by presenting the song as a documentary. The introduction of education in the song by presenting alphabets and learning abstract shows the overall metaphors that are school influenced. The social context where other songwriter and bands were holding recognition, such as the Beatles, was knocked out when the Jackson 5 came out with their new song ABC.

The social context in which the song was made, helped the band influence many kids and moved them to Hollywood. The song appeared in most movies, such as Daddy Daycare starring Eddie Murphy. The social connections each person holds with the music in this video are uniquely ambivalent. The song situated itself in the social world rather than the social world situating in the song. The song holds so much significant meaning in contrast to the argument is presented in this analytical essay. The debate which is held importance in the song is that the power of education with the passion in music can make everything achieve, even in the darkest and cruelest times. As recognition and awareness were the most fundamental parts of the African American movement, it holds more significant meaning for pop culture to have something to influence the youth, the adults, and the teens all the same.

The music matters conditionally with the sociological and cultural aspect as the connection between education and music strengthens. The social world that created this argument on why the existence of music is essential is to revitalize the concept of listening and reading through something exciting and fun. The introduction of pop and soul culture and the dance moves made people aware of the fundamentals of music that was yet to come in the later years. It also aware the sociological argument about the African Americans holding vital importance in the years to come. Hence, the years which came after, there were so many important things which held more significant meaning. The relationship between the music and the argument is relatively broad and provide a full answer. Regardless of how the world sees, the Jackson 5 made history with that song and also presented the most important piece of argument.

Conclusion

The aforementioned analysis of the song "ABC" by the Jackson 5 illustrates some important cultural and sociological aspects. It also analyzed a critical argument about the social context in which the song was introduced. The existence of all these connections that hold a higher meaning along with the importance the song holds itself, is an integral part of this essay writing. In other words, what is illustrated is that music matters in every shape and size, even when it is solely about education, alphabets, or love itself? The connection which this music has with the concept of learning and love is the most significant part and made it pronouncing famous. The sounds being heard in the music video and the social worlds each artist belongs to are similar. Even though the artists talk about love through alphabets, there is little found in the social world the sings belong to. This shows the majority of the argument and the importance it holds.

Developing biases is a very common sight in our society. It is especially observed in business organizations, government sector, and the educational institutes, where people from different walks of life come together under the same roof to share a common goal. Although all the people in that organization or the educational institute are working for a shared objective, some of the individuals are kept aside and not allowed to participate in the activities of that setup. There exists an air of inclination or prejudice among the other members of that setup against that particular individual or group, based on their gender, race, skin color, religion or even sexual orientation.

Studying abroad was undeniably an unforgettable experience. There are several perks of studying abroad. An individual can experience cultural and food diversity in the place where he or she is studying. While participating in a summer abroad program I also faced several challenges. Humans have a tendency to be attracted to individuals of specific sexual characteristics. There are people who get attracted to the people of their own gender, homosexuals, and there are people who get attracted to people belonging to a different gender or sex, heterosexuals. Then there are people who are not attracted to any sex or gender at all and do not fall in this criteria; such people are called non-sexualists.

Many people do not know their sexual orientation, and when asked, they are totally clueless about their sexual preferences. There are many tests to check about hour sexual orientation or sexual preferences. Many of them are even available online, and you do not have to visit any psychologist or sexologist to get it confirmed. The details of some of these test have been given below:

The Kinsey Scale Test

The Kinsey Scale test or the Heterosexual-Homosexual Rating Scale was first introduced by Dr. Alfred Kinsey and Wardell Pomeroy in their book “Sexual Behavior in the Human Male” in 1948 (Drucker). The results of this test are based on the answers given by persons based on their experience given at a specific time. The ratings of the test range from 0 which describes heterosexuality to 6, which means that you are extremely homosexual. When I took the results, the results showed:

“You got: Not really heterosexual or homosexual.

You don’t necessarily fall on the spectrum of sexuality, which is okay. Sexuality doesn’t have to be strictly one thing or another thing, and there are plenty of people out there who experience sexual feelings in unique ways, or perhaps don’t experience sexual feelings at all.”

The Kinsey Scale Test gives you a specific and to the point answer to your sexual orientation, and you get an elaborated answer without any confusion.

The Klein Sexual Orientation Grid or The Multidimensional Scale of Sexuality Quiz

The Klein Orientation Grid (KSOG) was developed by Fritz Klein after expanding his study on the Kinsey Scale Test as he felt that Kinsey Sexual Scale Test failed to answer certain characteristics of the sexual orientation of certain people (Drucker).

The Red-Blue Sexual Scale

The Red-Blue Sexual Scale Test was developed by Langdon Parks, a man from southern California, who realized that the Kinsey Sexual Scale test fails to answer certain aspects of a man’s sexuality (Gladue).

The Red-Blue Sexual Scale Test is not recommended because it’s an ambiguous and confusing approach. There are a lot of options available and the person who attempts the test gets confused between a wide range of colors or choices available for them. The results are also ambiguous and do not clearly provide a definite answer to your question.

Difference:

The Kinsey Scale Test and the Klein Sexual Orientation Grid (KSOG) differ in a way that the former defined the sexual orientation in terms of only three dimensions whereas the latter elaborates sexual orientation in terms of multiple dimensions. The Kinsey Scale Test rates the sexual orientation on a scale of 0 – 6 whereas the Klein Sexual Orientation Grid (KSOG), on the other hand, rates the sexual orientation on a scale of 0-7.

The Red-Blue Sexual Scale, on the other hand, does not use any questions but a diagram or table moving from bright red color to purple colors having different scales. The chosen scale describes the type of sexual orientation the person has.

Importance:

Sexuality defines that to whom a person is sexually, emotionally, mentally and physically attracted to. Sexuality is the center of a person’s self-identity and not being able to express it may prove harmful to an individual’s sense of self-worth and overall mental well-being.

The book highlights the effective habits of the people that are important for a successful life. Covey had identified the personality traits that help people in every aspect including academics, work and personal life. The most important habit recognized by Covey is being proactive. This suggests that a person must have a plan before an event occurs. This is an effective way of handling challenges by applying the most desirable solution. Covey’s idea is focused on convincing people to change themselves rather than desiring for a different situation. Thinking win-win is another habit that I plies that both parties must reach an agreement. This habit saves people form entrapping in conflicting situations. Covey identified being with the end in mind as an important habit that is focused on building a vision. People must have a vision and direction to follow. This is a golden rule that works in professional and personal life. Most of time people are concerned for making their point clear. By understanding others they will receive better outcome. Since the beginning of the time, the world has seen many civilizations, which came and made the world know about their rituals and traditions. Every civilization that happened in this world introduced come cultural norms or customs, which were followed by the people of that civilization. Some of these traditions were normal and very ordinary in nature, whereas others were very weird and unusual, that still baffles the mind of any individual who comes to know about them. Later on, these traditions became the identity of these nations or civilizations, and the world began knowing these civilizations due to their unique practices.

Many examples are spread across the globe that show us the history and glory of various civilizations. Some of the refinements were famous for their bravery, like the Hans civilization and some were very notable with respect to trade. Some civilizations became famous due to their many advancements in intellectual and scientific fields, just like Western Civilization, whereas other some other civilization got fame due to their rich culture and various cultural explorations, just like Muslim or Islamic Civilization. One prominent example of great civilizations in the history of the world is the Maya Civilization.

Maya Civilization is one of the oldest civilizations in the world and is famous for its unique set of traditions and values. It is one of the most diverse civilizations that existed in Northern America. The people who were included in this civilization are also known as Maya people. Maya people were especially famous for the logo-syllabic script, which is the most highly developed and the most sophisticated writing style in America before the Colombian time. Along with that, they made great discoveries and advancements in architecture, art, mathematics, astronomical systems, and calendar. Maya Civilization was unique; their values were different, they were the most sophisticated and advanced civilization of the pre-historic times that walked this Earth; how, this paper will discuss.

Discussion

History

The history of Mayan Civilization dates back to 1800 BC when the earliest traces of Maya settlements are found. At that time, Maya people were inclined towards agriculture and used to grow crops like corn, cassava, beans, and squash. The Middle Pre-Classic Era lasted till 300 BC in which the Maya people started expanding their agricultural activities to highlands and lowlands both (Douglas et al., 2016). The Maya people borrowed many of their cultural and religious practices from the Olmecs, one of another culturally rich Mesoamerican civilization.

One of the distinct quality or traits of the Maya people during the preclassic times was pyramid building and city construction, along with inscribing of stone monuments (Chase, & Rice, 2014). The Preclassical city of Mirador is a bright example of the construction skills of the Maya people.

Cultural Context

Mayans were really peaceful and art loving people. They almost never indulged in wars and stuck firmly to their values and beliefs. In fact, Mayan lands were known as the lands of saints and priests. The people from the Maya Civilization stood very true to their values and religion and conducted various religious rituals. Moreover, they were deeply interested in the arts and sciences. Their produced artworks, sculptures, buildings still represent the diverse and rich culture present at the time of Mayan people.

Represented in the United States

Mayan people are the ones that introduced the modern writing system to society. Mayan people are being given equal opportunities in the society and the system so that they can promote their culture and show their values to the world. The Mayan people from the Yucatán Peninsula have been arranging cooking classes since 2003 in California tend multiple other states in order to introduce the world to their unique tastes.

Individualistic/Collective

Mayan culture is a collectivist culture whose individuals remain together and prosper together. The people have made progress together keeping their values together. The positive thing about Mayan people is that they never left their culture and their values behind while making progress.

Artistic

The Maya people were highly artistic people and were especially famous for their creative works. Their trademark or unique specialty was their symbolic art. Some of the greatest artists of Mesoamerica were from the Maya tribe. May people were known for their sophisticated and detailed artworks. People from Maya Civilization created artworks from both perishable and non-perishable goods, like ceramics, obsidian, jade, wood, stucco, sculpted stone monuments and finely painted murals. Mayan art depicts royalty and the elegance of the elite class. It also shows a deep connection to their roots, their ancestors.

Values

Mayan culture and values were greatly dependent on their religion. Their values significantly involve astronomy, nature, and rituals. Mayan mostly worshipped gods that represented nature, like Yum Kaax, Kinih Ahous , The Sun God or The Maize God, etc. They were significantly popular for their astronomical building structures and calendars which they used extensively for religious gatherings (Inomata et al., 2016).

Religion

Maya people were one of the most spiritual and religious civilizations in history. They believed in many gods and worshipped them according to like they had gods of the Sun and the sun, the moon, the rain, the prosperity, and the corn. They used to build temples and religious places according to the season and their religious needs; the only significant factor was that all the sacred places were in a pyramid shape. The king was given the highest regard in a Maya society, who was known as "Kuhul Ajaw" (Holy lords). It was a general perception that the kings are a mediator between god and an ordinary man. Thus, the kingship used to pass down in the same family, and it was hereditary.

Sex and Gender Roles

Just like any other society, Maya civilization was also patriarchal in nature. Mostly, the men used to indulge in agricultural activities and were considered responsible for the economic uplifting of the family. They used to take important decisions for the family and equally shard the domestic responsibilities with their females.

Just like the male members of their community, women in the Mayan culture constituted equal rights in society. They contributed significantly in the cultural, economic and agricultural growth of the society. Although the part of women’s' role in the society has not been clearly documented in the Mayan scripts found during various discoveries, the role of women has been accepted and even appreciated at many places. Apart from the traditional roles of cooking and raising children, the women also helped their men in the fields and household industries. One of the most common industry at that time was textile, so the women lent a helping hand in the creation and development of textile products and then sold them for a living.

Acculturation

With the rapid developments and the multiple incidents of invasions from various foreigners, the Mayan people had to assimilate in the cultures of others and adopt certain traditions from them, but they never left their original values and are still loyal to them.

Conclusion

In a nut shell, it can be seen that the Maya Civilization was a rich and diverse civilization with multiple creative and inspiring values. The people were peaceful and artistic. They worked hard in the fields of agriculture, and stayed true to their religion and values, despite making much progress.

The Old Way of Singing

In the 19th and 20th centuries, lining-out or the ‘Old Way of Singing’ provided a way to sing psalm verses for those that did not have songbooks in a way that they could internalize the lines they listened to, and then repeat them. The Old Way did not have fixed melodies for the psalms and would often be sung upon ballad tunes that could be learned through oral transmission by congregations, families, and churchgoers with slight variations. Through this way, it deeply impacted the way the Psalms was sung and internalized by the people. It provided them with an emotional outlet, especially for congregation members that did not have songbooks, allowing everyone to participate in the singing. Thus, it gained popularity, as psalmody was not restricted to the “musically inclined” only rather anyone could join and internalize the message.

The addition of extra notes in lining-out were termed as ornaments by Temperley (1981), which sometimes made the original tune barely recognizable. The loss of rhythm and tempo in the ‘Old Way’, according to Temperley (1981), was a result of the lead singers shifting to the tune’s next note, while the more timid stragglers who are not acquainted with the tune, or whose pitch sense is unreliable, follow them gradually. In the process, they slide down and up towards the subsequent note through the pitch-matching process. Subsequently, everyone is able to join, often briefly, on a new note until the shift towards the new note starts again.

In the ‘Old way of Singing’, the voice who is singing upon a particular tone does not need to coordinate with others, and thus that voice can decide when to add ornaments or change the pitch. Generally, singing together requires a way to change the pitch in unison which is either done through text, memory or using tunes that have predictable turns. Church music experts traditionally view the genre to be simple, correct, chaste, have no ostentation, and the music and the text should be handled with care and enhance each other. The Old Way sometimes defies exact melodic lines and may seem vague or unstandardized owing to the multiple groups of notes usually in its rhythmic scheme. In this, it differs from the Baroque style wherein turns, slides, trills, and appoggiaturas were used as an effect to delaying the main note.

12. Following the “new cultural experience,” please rate the change in the team’s ability to observe and reflect on any new knowledge, facts, and patterns on how people from different cultures interact with you. Please elaborate on your rating using examples.

Our team visited the house of Ireland in San Diego. I would rate this experience as 7/10 as we got to discover and experience a vast variety of Irish culture which was full of diversity and beauty. The few activities that we practiced were listening to music, dining with Irish cuisine and experience live dance performance of the rich culture. There were a variety of cultures which we could observe and who we had a chance to interact with. The team-members all experienced a sense of ownership which the people present showed towards us. One thing that was exceptionally new for our experience was that the Irish people were quite soft-spoken and polite in their hospitality. According to our prior knowledge, Irish people were rude, blunt and not courteous but this was falsified when we got to experience their culture and dealings up close. The interaction processes were especially interesting and intriguing at the same time. As it was quite an amusement to realize that people having the same kind of flesh but the different cultural background could have such an alternate thought process. I rate our experience as 7/10 because there were certain elements that we were not prepared for. For instance, the Irish cuisine was very different from what we had in mind, and quite boring for our taste buds due to a blend of differential spices which they use. Also, one of my team-mates got into a quarrel with one of the people present there just for the mere fact the man thought we were ogling them and trying to disgrace them. Another reason for this rating is that the cultural differences made it a litter hard for us to communicate with each other due to the evident language barrier.

Describe three (3) main factors or experiences (e.g., characteristics of the hosts, place, activities, interactions, etc.) that contributed to the increase (or decrease, or no change) in your team’s overall cultural intelligence.

The three main factors which contributed to the increase in our team's overall cultural intelligence were the ambiance of the place, activities such as dancing and trying differential cuisine, and the third one was the interaction which we had with the people of different cultures. The ambiance of the place was exquisite with a simplicity that inspired us. There were carved wooden chairs and the walls were not overly dressed rather depicted quite a decent and calm atmosphere. The overall aroma present in that place was of a friendly attitude and tranquility that surrounded us. The second factor which was regarding the experience of watching the dances was exhilarating. People were not bothered who was watching, or in which posture they were dancing. All they seemed to be concerned about was slow rhythmic movements and smiles on their faces which painted the satisfaction in their hearts. This was quite a unique element as in the contemporary world and modernized societies we often witness people dancing fast with a perfect cut out moves and they almost always seem to be in a race to prove themselves worthy of recognition. This was not the case in this place. The food which we had was not as good as we had expected it to be but then again it would be justified to state that this might be due to the differential cultures which we belong from and have been socialized in. The third factor was our interactions with the different cultured people present over there. Most of the interactions were pleasant and polite; however one of the group members did get in a little quarrel for no solid reason. Overall our experience was one in which our overall cultural intelligence increased massively.

According to the Naturalization Act of 1906 of the United States of America, the immigrants who want the citizenship of the country should be able to read and write English. The act has been effective for more than a century and is a strict requirement for the immigrants trying to become legal citizens of the state. However, being able to read and write in the English language should not be a requirement to become a citizen of the United States of America. Being able to read and write in the English language may be a positive aspect for the people trying to get the citizenship of the United States of America, however, it should not be a requirement, as it robes the opportunity of progress from many people across the globe.

English is one of the most commonly spoken languages in the world, which is also considered an international language. There are still a number of countries in the world where English is not a common language. Most of the times the source of knowing this particular language is the educational system. So, the people who do not get formal education through schools also lose the opportunity of learning the language. So, it can be said that people belonging to the counties of the world which do not have English as their common or official language are not eligible to get the citizenship of the United States of America. It is actually wrong and should not be practised, because people should not be deprived of the opportunity of a better life and making progress, on the basis of their language.

The Naturalization Act of the United States of America requires the immigrants to be able to read and write in the English language, in order to become the citizens of the country, as English is the national and official language. Lybrand has mentioned in his article that the law has exempted the people above the age of fifty years from this condition, who have been living in the country for more than twenty years. There are a number of countries in the world which have some other language as their official language and the public is not knowledgeable regarding the English language, which gets them exempted from the possibility of getting the citizenship of the United States, which is not quite commendable (Lybrand, 2017).

My perspective on the matter is that the United States of America is one of the most developed countries of the world, which provides the opportunities of a better lifestyle and progress to the people of the world. It should not have such a requirement for being its citizen and let the people avail the opportunity of making progress. They can learn the language after becoming a part of society and it would be easier and effective for them as well. It is not their fault that English was not a common language in their country. They must have a number of other capabilities, which they can utilize to add to the productivity of the society. The different perspective on the matter is that the immigrants, who would not be able to speak, read and write in the English language would not be able to indulge in active communication with the rest of the society, over a short time of period. Such an issue can cause serious concerns for their survival and progress (Lleras-Muney, & Shertzer, 2015).

English is the most commonly used language in the world; still, it is unknown to a great majority of the world population. The United States of America should not have the condition of reading, writing and speaking the English language for the immigrants trying to get its legal citizenship. It should provide opportunities for progress to all the people and promote diversity. The immigrants or the new citizens can learn the English language with the passage of time, so it is not right to take away the opportunities of progress on this basis.

When I started my first job, I was very simple and clueless about the office politics. My job was emotionally overwhelming experience for me. I had to go through many difficult situations, due to my frank nature. But after those bad experiences I decided to quite socializing with the colleagues, to save myself from mental stress. I thought cutting the extra communication with colleagues, that is irrelevant to work, will help me focus better on my work. But it actually made me really isolated. This strategy of mine made me alone and I had no one to discuss my work issues with. This lack of communication gave rise to another set of problems and it started effecting my image.

My new boss once asked me about socialization and communication issues, as he noticed that I had many. He listened to my problems and guided me about the importance of issues. He taught me that communication is essential in building trust, repute and trust. Instead of avoiding the problems by staying silent I should confront the problems and solve them through communication ("Communication", 2019).

Strategies to influence others:

My boss taught many skills that I have used to influence my colleagues positively. These skills have help me in building my good reputation at work.

Building trust with co-workers is essential to workplace survival. Strong relation with co-workers helps in difficult situations. It avoids the conflicts and the complex negative situations due to mistrust.

Communication is the key for every relationship. It is important to communicate about problems and issues.

Listening skills are crucial in building influence. Listening influences our daily responses. We can only give better response if we listen to the others and their queries carefully.

Introduction

Historical Background

History of Australia extends before the period from the year 1788, when the new arrivals first fleet from England set its course on Botany Bays sands. The Aboriginal people and the people of Torres Strait were the inhabitants of Australia since thousands of years, and their laws, cultures, ceremonies and land connection to the Australian land is enduring and more strong. The Indigenous people of Australia are the worlds oldest culture that made its survival in todays world. They have been living in Australia from at least 65,000. While the contact between the diverse people of the continent made it possible for them to use trade, but their connection and their trade with the rest of the world is non-existent. Outside people made their first contact with the Indigenous people almost 600 years ago. People from now what constitute Indonesia first established their relationship in the trade with the people of northern Australia. Later when the sailors from Europe made their contact, some of that connection brings positive effects on the Aboriginal Australian people sharing the technologies with them. Others are the negative impacts which include the disease introduction(Department of the Environment and Energy, 2019).

In the year 1768, then British Empire issued the order to Captain James Cook that if he is able to discover the land in the south he would with the natives consent take possession in Kings Name and if the land is inhibited, then take the possession of the land for His Majesty name. Captain Cook on the Endeavour enters the Botany Bay(Shareourpride.org.au, 2019). Around then the Government of Britain does not give the Indigenous Australians their rights as per their exceptional association with the Australian land. Rather, the land was asserted for the Britain Government and Australia was announced as land nullius no ones territory. The main armada in the year 1788 arrives and assembles their settlement in Port Jackson situated in Sydney which is the perpetual settlement for the Europeans. At any rate 3 out of 4 of the all-out Indigenous Australians did not endure the colonization. In the year 1835, John Batman who was a pioneer and a pastoralist attempted to make a bargain yet the Governor Bourke doesnt acknowledge the settlement. In 1836, British House of Common chose a council that says that Aborigines reserve a privilege to the land. In the year 1901, the Commonwealth of Australia appears. Edmund Barton was chosen as the first Australian Prime Minister.

Contemporary Situation of Australians and Indigenous Australians

Although the economy of Australia is growing from the previous 25 years and it is considered as one of the world happiest nation but one group that is not benefitted from the current scenario are the Aboriginal people. The conditions regarding the health, education, and employment of the Aboriginal people as compared to the non-Indigenous people are in deteriorating condition(Australianstogether.org.au, 2019). According to the government report recently published, Indigenous men with the age range in between 25 and 29 have the world highest suicide rate due to psychological problems with 90.8 suicides of total 100,000 inhabitants per year. These high rates are the consequence of the stark challenge symptoms that the Indigenous people are facing. The problem includes that Indigenous people are less likely to precede further high school education. Because of the low education, they are less likely to get an employment and the health-related issues are on the rise as compared to other Australians and as consequent life on average ten years less than their non-Indigenous counterparts. In order to counter this effect, in the year 2008, the commitment is made formally by the Australian government known as Closing the Gap. Some improvements are noticed but the overall national statistics show that still much has to be done to actually close the gap.

Studies suggest that socioeconomic conditions have an impact on health outcomes(ABC News, 2019). This means all the factors which include discrimination, racism, lack of employment and health, and cultural distancing has an impact on the health of a person. In between the years 2014 and 2016, Indigenous children with their age ranging in between 0-4 years are twice as likely to be dead as their counterparts. In the year 2012, it has been noted that non-Indigenous Australians are more likely to live 10 years more than their Australian counterparts. The same trend has been seen in the other departments that may have an impact on health outcomes.

Vietnam's role and involvement in the world since WWII

After World War II, and the collapse of Vietnam's monarchy, France decided to try and reestablish colonial rule but this initiative was mitigated by its ultimate defeat in the first War of Indochina. It is quoted that the Geneva accords in 1954 resulted in the partition of the country of Vietnam into two parts, accompanied by a promise of a domestic election in 1956, which would reunite the country. (Storey, et, al. 2018). It is asserted that South Vietnam and the United States insisted on supervising the election so that any fraud can be avoided. This idea was rejected by the Soviet Union and North Vietnam. The country remained divided until the Fall of Saigon in 1975 that signaled the end to the Vietnam War. After reunification in 1975, the newly unified Vietnam faced a number of hardships and difficulties that included isolation from the International Community and Internal Repression due to the Cold war. There was a change in the economic policy of the country with a series of reforms in the private sector. Side by side, there was American economic embargo and Vietnamese invasion of Columbia. A political movement Doi Moi was started that was led by Prime Minister Vo Van Kite in 1986, that was an ultimate source of changing economic policy. After WWII, the country's economic system was established and Vietnam was enjoying substantial economic growth. (Storey, et, al. 2018).

Vietnam's relationship with the US before the cold war

At the end of Second World War, when Vietnamese were continuously struggling against the French Colonial presence, the leader of the Viet Minh blended three basic ideologies named as, Anti French sentiments, Vietnams Communist Party and the successfully blended nationalism with theories of Marxist Leninist revolutionism. It was the time when there was a massive and considerable involvement of the United States with South Vietnam that stemmed from 20 years of political and economic actions. (Osgood, et, al. 2019). The French forces and the allies’ of the United States were actually backed by America. There was increased military and financial assistance to the French forces who were fighting in Vietnam. (SarDesai, et, al. 2018). With the passage of time, there was an acceleration in military assistance from the United States with an aim to restrict the domination of Communists in the government of Vietnam, taking into account that it would ultimately lead to the chain of countries adopting the same framework. The United States foreign policy established a national security interest that was disturbed due to the rise of the communist group and their expansion that strived to take all possible measures to end external interference and tribulations of security. (SarDesai, et, al. 2018).

Vietnam's relationship with western countries after the cold water

In accordance with the emerging scholarly synthesis, it has been highlighted that the interpretation of the war in global context is varied. It is highlighted that as a result of the cold war, there was a boost in the economics of Vietnam in coordination with the East Asian and European nations. Between Vietnam's communist north and the noncommunist south, war was resumed by means of southern insurgents and infiltration. The intervention of the United States, Soviet Union and China in the civil war of Vietnam and Cambodia turned it into a field for proxy wars (Osgood, et, al. 2019). The role of China in Vietnam is actually critical and more argumentative because China threatened to enter the war if the United States would invade North Vietnam. Vietnam’s relationship with the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaya, and the position of Vietnam after the Cold War is more like a pathway to several senseless decisions and impractical approaches. (SarDesai, et, al. 2018).

Vietnam's relationship with the United States after the Cold War

Vietnam War hung heavily over early 1960 and 1970. It was a part of the overall Cold War confrontation, as well as the American struggle against the spread of Communism. Domino theory was the prime platform through which the US justifies its military interventions, asserting if one of the counties would fall under the impression of communism, the countries surrounding that country would follow inevitably. (Hall, et, al. 2018). Lyndon B Johnson strives to see peace in South East Asia and maintain America's political and economic interests by stepping up the country's involvement and expanding the presence of troops from 23000 to 540,000. In January 1968, the Communist Tet Offensive escalated the cnflict by plunging Americans into doubt, while they had previously been confident about their glamorous victory. It is asserted that the American public was shocked by the televised coverage related to the heavy loss of life and hostility of war. It resulted in the withdrawal of military forces from the country. (Storey, et, al. 2018). Accompanied by the new carpet bomb raids that were carried out by the US Air Force, adhering to the orders of President Nixon, the peace negotiations were initiated in May 1968. It is highlighted that as soon as the Paris Agreement provided the United States with an opportunity to get out of the conflict, South Vietnamese ally was left to stand alone only for the time span of two years before falling to North Vietnamese and the Viet Cong. (Hall, et, al. 2018). The fall of Saigon was the actual end of the Vietnam War where American military interventions weighed heavily on the Policies of the United State and resulted in serious damage to the international representation of the country.

The history of cybersecurity dates back to the time when the internet was not even launched. The first antivirus was invented by Robert T. Morriss, while he was designing a program. In the late 1980s by the name of the computer worm, the virus was formed to measure the internet connections and their sizes(Tang et al., 2016). This was a bug virus which infiltrated the Unix terminals and copied information. Later in the 1990s, millions of computer systems were infected by different types of viruses. Furthermore, in 2000, a fifteen-year-old boy named Michael Calce attacked high commercial websites. This is where an era of viruses started to originate the idea of cybersecurity (Warner, 2012).

Cybersecurity is needed because the protection from cyber-attacks is possible only through the safety of interconnected systems, which include software, hardware, and data. Occurrence or origination of cybersecurity took place due to the viruses and infarctions done through bugging system into the private data(Tang et al., 2016). Threats to the security of websites, internet and personal data of the people sharing it online, are the ultimate causes for the need or necessity of cybersecurity as dated back to 1980s, the start of Morris worm was the moment which urged this need. Cyber threats or attacks are the reason for system failure, security breaches, and theft of valuable information, making it important causes for cybersecurity(Stevens, 2018).

Taking it 20-30 years back, the origination of cybersecurity was a head-turning task for information technology. Whether talking about Morris's worm or wave of the 90s, cyber security became game-changer after the invention of such malicious things in late 1990s. It is this time that big antivirus companies dominated the industry of cyber security for 20 years, but then in 2014, more cyber threats and attacks originated new solutions to new challenges. Then 2014 onwards, new technology got invented and is still evolving with further innovations, i.e., behavioral detection, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. As cybersecurity is evolving, so is the complexity of cyber threats and attacks (Singer & Friedman, 2014).

Many things have differed according to the evolution of threats and attacks by cyber terrorists. The nature of culture and its value guidelines largely depend on those social circles that have real power in a particular state. In addition, modern globalization processes reinforce the trend of leveling national cultures, forming a single world culture. The negative consequences of this process are the rejection of traditions and local characteristics, the adoption of a “predetermined” development path, which in turn does not leave the possibility of its free choice. As a rule, in parallel with the official culture, which occupies a dominant position due to the availability of administrative resources for its popularization, subcultures arise that cultivate their worldview and sociocultural practice. Women in Latin America faced numbers of difficulties in the form of gender stereotypes, social responsibilities and inequality. Women of Latin America brought changes by raising their voice for equality and revolutionary movements.

What now becomes clear is that these concepts got stuck in the twentieth century because they were developed out of a modern age whose historical time has expired. Binary thinking, the linear, simple, and one-sided view of social processes, has led to a mechanisms and determinism of thought that refused (which it still does to some extent) to see, acknowledge, and grasp the complexity of the world; this means, the simultaneous and interrelated juxtaposition of different dimensions, which determine the social happenings in each moment, according to the respective state of the factors (realities, processes, subjects) of the intertwined dimensions.

Work is something that everyone does nowadays, it is the action that one takes for accomplishing a task. There is no concept of standard living without doing any work. Researchers have presented many theories as well for addressing the conception of work. I think Carl Marx was quite right when he talked about the classes that have been created in this world just because of the unjust distribution of the power, authority and wealth. Type of work is the main source of the genesis of social classes as well. One can do a work by using machinery or by using his own hands. I think one could see a clear difference in the ideology that work behind the concept of work as in the olden times doing work was mainly associated with males only. For example a male member of a family is going to work somewhere in order to earn a living so that he could raise his family, but in the present scenario doing work in an organization, industry , company or institution is restricted and categorized for males only rather females are contributing equally in all the fields (Bauman,et,al,2005). Work identity and belonging is another thing that one must learn to differentiate as an individual is not having only one identity. Social class

Social class is something that would reflect about a person and his position in society even without asking even a single word about him. The type of work with which a person would be associated is going to indicate his social class (Jensen,et,al,2016, pp. 26-39). For example, if one is working in a company as a plumber there would be no need to gather any information about his social class or status as his designation of work would indicate a lot about the social class from which he belonged to. According to me, social class is the root cause of all the frustration and chaos of the world. I agree with Marxism that the unequal distribution of power and wealth has given rise to social classes like bourgeoisie and proletariats. Social class is a kind of stamp that restricts one class to behave in a certain manner with the other class (Piniet,al,2012, 142-158). As it could be seen that if one belongs to the high social class, he will behave in a certain manner with the people of the same class (maybe politely). But when the same person is going to be in touch with the people of low social class, he is going to have a complete transformation in his way of communication. So, I think social class is one of the main things that are going to define our ways how we are going to behave with others.

Religion has been a matter of great importance in the lives of human beings since the very beginning. Where religion has brought a lot of positivity in the world, some people have also misused it and used for their own nasty purposes. Human history has seen numerous conflicts, quarrels and even wars on the basis of religion (Bénabou). And when religion is mixed with politics, the results are even disastrous. There are a number of movies, documentaries and television series that have been made on the subject. Some of them have become immensely popular and caught the attention of the general public. One of such documentaries is “Zeitgeist”.

Zeitgeist is a series of three documentary films that had been periodically released from 2007 to 2011. These movies are based on a number of conspiracy theories and also presents suggestions for the improvement of the world in terms of social and economic terms. I’m pretty sure I’ve watched Zeitgeist twice, but now I can’t really remember what’s in it and had to look at Wikipedia to remind myself. It’s all blended into one in my mind with the many other conspiracy films I’ve watched and enjoyed.

As a matter of fact, Zeitgeist covers several topics where it’s possible to make a plausible-sounding case for something if you either don’t know very much about it or else have only taken the time to learn things that confirm a paranoid point of view (Stewart). So there are facts in there, and it is an interesting film, but the facts are woven together with fancy in a way that doesn’t really make a huge amount of sense if you take a hard and detailed look at it. When it comes to things like the economic system and religion, or the actions of governments in general, there are several levels of knowledge that you could go through, which films like Zeitgeist could be a part of.

Firstly there’s the level of most people, who are too busy to bother themselves with these subjects but probably watch the news. You’d have to call that naive, in the literal sense of “naive”. Then there’s the level where you’ve maybe watched Zeitgeist and you realize there’s more to it than you originally thought. Then you continue to expand your knowledge with actual details and various contrary points of view, and you realize that Zeitgeist has misled you; maybe it was better than being naive, or then again maybe not because it made you paranoid and told you lots of slightly silly things.

This is kind of what I went through with many other similar movies. I started from not knowing anything about economics, then I watched Zeitgeist along with several others. In February 2007 I buttonholed a local councilor who came to my door to solicit votes and started ranting about how the economic system was madness, crashes were built into it and he had to watch this great YouTube film. Then I began to actually study the subject a bit and to read criticisms of the movie. Now I think these films are basically paranoid and miss the deeper picture.

One really disturbing aspect of conspiracy theories is that they can lead to very nasty forms of political change, especially in difficult times. Hitler was very inspired by these types of theories, lapping them up from the mouth of Gottfried Feder. When he took office, he realized he had to change his ideas about economics, because they were more paranoid than realistic. But he retained the anti-Semitic flavor of those theories. Trust me, we do not want leaders who believe the world is controlled by a small cabal of bankers. They would do far more harm than good.
